TRADITIONAL COURTS BILL

According to traditional communities, there is no need for a Traditional Court Bill (B1D-2017), because it distorts
current practices on the ground. Rather than a court, activists state that there is a dispute resolution forum that is self-regulating, with known rules shared by residents who voluntarily abide by the forum. The ARD partners and grassroots activists have mobilized against the Traditional Courts Bill since 2012.
